North Carolina Print & Drawing Society (NCPDS) Collection
The NCPDS Permanent Collection was originally brought into the Center on a long-term loan beginning in the summer of 1991. Frank Heitman, former president of NCPDS, was instrumental in bringing the collection of fifty-one prints here on loan, as well as working with the subsequent donation of the art. The collection is located in the lobby of McKnight Hall and in the Northeast Hallway.

Giovanni Battista Piranesi Collection
The etchings that are located throughout the Lucas Room are only a small portion of approximately sixty works in the entire University’s Piranesi Collection. This Collection is one of the first groups of arty acquired by the University in the late 60’s from the estate of Hershall Johnson. The Charlotte Chapter of the American Institute of Architects donated the money to purchase the collection which is now located across the campus in various locations.

Neil Talley Collection
Neil Tally has been a photographer since 1976 and a photography teacher since 1985. His focus is on black and white photography.  After exhibiting some of his prints in Spring 1995 in the Cone Center Gallery, he decided to donate nine of his photographs to the center. The collection is located in Rooms 347 and 378.

NCNB Collection
These three large works were donated to the University by North Carolina National Bank in Fall1991. The paintings are located in the Conference level Stairway leading from the first to the second floor in the South Wing and in the Student Media Conference Room in the North Wing of the building.

Edwina and Cynthia Bringle Collection
Edwina and Cynthia Bringle are twin sisters who have long been leaders in the North Carolina crafts movement. Cynthia is a potter and Edwina, a weaver. Cynthia was a member of the North Carolina Arts Council for 3 terms, has been on the boards of the N.C.  Pottery Center and the Southern Arts Federation. Both have work with numerous museum and corporate collections. They have been involved with the internationally-known Penland School of Crafts for over twenty years. Edwina is a retired Art Professor from UNCC.
