Looking at UNC Charlotte?
Hopefully, you’ve already made a visit to our uniquely modern,
beautifully maintained campus. If not, arrange to do so soon!
You probably already know that UNC Charlotte is a vital, rapidly
growing institution with an enrollment of around 20,000. What you
may not know is that 87.3% of our teaching staff have “terminal
degrees,” which means they have achieved as high an education
as is possible in their field.* And those are the folks that will
be teaching you most of the time. A lot of schools the size of ours
lean heavily on graduate and teaching assistants. That’s not
the case at UNC Charlotte. G.A.s instruct in labs and in lower-level
required courses only; even then, it’s under the direct supervision
of a fully-degreed professor.
Another great advantage to UNC Charlotte is the city of Charlotte.
We have a of wealth shopping, eating, arts, entertainment, and employment
opportunities within a short distance. There is no lack of sights,
sounds, and things to do in this largest city of North Carolina.
While you’re considering if UNC Charlotte is right for you,
Student Activities would like you to know it’s important to
get involved in campus, or as we say, “Get Connected.”
Research has shown that students who “Get Connected”
have a better chance being able to stay in school and graduate in
4 years. †

-
Fill out a “Get Connected Survey”
